Black rappers are often compared to Nas and Pac. It’s because he’s good. MC Serch was the first good white rapper though. Classic sh*t.
You Do realize here is only like 10 white rappers, and most of them are not known, unless your talkin bout people rappin in bars or something or a club, then what white rappers u talkin about
It’s kind of like Illmatic. As Nas’ crowning achievement, it’s become the majority’s gold standard for a "good Nas album". All the albums that Nas released after it were compared to Illmatic.
Substitute Eminem into that, and you should get what I’m saying. As the first critically successful white rapper, he’s now the gold standard for white rappers.
They really don’t anyone who knows anything about hip-hop doesn’t compare MC’s by skin color. When i listen to em’ i really don’t think about the fact that it’s comin from a white guy. Anyone who does think about that, pays to much attention to appearance and probably isn’t very musically educated in hip-hop. It’s all good, but that’s what it is.
